Here are some of the major differences between blogs and websites.

Content:

Blogs typically focus on a particular niche or a specific topic to ensure that the readers should revisit for gaining knowledge on that specific subject. The tone of the content of a blog is normally conversational and informal so that it can make a connection with the readers. 

On the other hand, a website can cover a wide range of content, products and services. Normally, the tone of website content is kept formal such as giving a brief description. 

Design:

The design style is different between a website and a blog. 

A website should look professional and polished for making an impact on the viewers. It is to attract customers to buy products or services. 

While a blog look can be casual but readable and attractive with relevant images. A blog is to increase interest in gaining knowledge by reading and entertaining for retention and revisit.

Monetization:

Normally blogs are been created for monetizing your content. There are many ways you can monetize a blog such as advertising networks, affiliate banners and so on.
